This is why I still breastfeed. Look how peaceful and sweet and safe and content she looks.

  1. I haven't had babies for many years, yet reading this blog has reminded me of the bliss one feels as your baby latches on and your milk lets down. Nothing on earth compares to that feeling of love and closeness as you bond with your baby skin to skin. I am glad to see this most natural and healthy experience of motherhood making such a comeback among young mothers. It's a pity that it's still often thought of as archaic. In my exeriences, most women who do try to nurse, aren't willing to suffer a little discomfort to condition their breasts beforehand and give up almost immediately; never experiencing the beauty of nursing. Keep up the good work, "Lactation Failure," and thank you for reminding me of one of life's pleasures for women! (I even researched lactation in non-pregnant women...)
